The future auditorium will occupy a total of 17,000 square meters in different areas
The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Housing and Architecture, supports a total of 450,000 euros for the drafting of the construction of a future Hall and Arts Center in Las Torres de Cotillas within the program of grants to develop the regional government aimed at enhancing regional architectural heritage and the creation of new cultural spaces.
"This is a project that will result in the improvement of the architectural heritage Cotillas Towers and attend social and cultural needs of the municipality, which is one of the purposes of such action taken by the Ministry" said the general director of Housing and Architecture, Mark Nogueroles.
The action includes the creation of this new space on the grounds of future commercial-business park 'The Carmens'.
Future installations will be distributed in a building of 7,000 square meters and an underground car park will occupy 10,000 square meters.
In addition to the main room, with capacity for 800 people, the audience will have an exhibition hall, multipurpose rooms, workshops for musical training and a rehearsal room and central units.
"Thanks to grants that are awarded to municipalities, through aid programs related to architecture, Murcia can enjoy the use of modern and original buildings, designed by professionals who participate in a contest of ideas," said general manager, who recalled that "the Department provides one hundred percent of the cost of preparation of the project, some preliminary work for the construction of a suitable enclosure for the representation and holding events of all kinds."
The Directorate General of Housing and Architecture is funding this project under the program of "Drafting of architectural projects' to perform actions promoted by local government, within its competence, in architecture, which in this case allow the new infrastructure complete the cultural offer and the session Torreño offers residents and visitors in the outdoor auditorium and the House of Culture of the municipality.
