How do you prepare a festival at this time?
The budget for the holidays has been reduced significantly compared to previous years, but the crisis will not be an obstacle to providing our residents and visitors a wide variety of events, mostly free.
Austerity is not going to mean reduce the quality of a festival that shines both in our town and in the area of our region.
How to enjoy your Patron Torreño?
Residents enjoy pouring into body and soul in some acts which are part and parcel, as actors and protagonists in its own right and as spectators.
There are thousands and thousands of Torreño taking to the streets in these days as public holidays by attending scheduled activities or as the main element (through the rocks and festive associations) event of large crowds as they come to be the Parade floats and processions, meetings of coexistence as the Night of the sardines and the beating, the paella or the pilgrimage in honor of our patron the Virgen de la Salceda, to give some examples.
What is the bet of the City Torreño for the Holidays this year?
The holidays are as participatory and massive potential.
Our City Council intends, always fulfilled, that the neighbors are involved in activities that develop and consider as their own, that live with intensity and as something to be proud.
Is there much new from last year?
We wanted to pay tribute to the selfless work done by local clubs and groups throughout the year to make our party great.
Therefore, on August 27 is the "Day of the Rocks" festive, with street entertainment shows and children, and rallies and parades of the rocks and associations.
Novel are also free activities to promote local commerce, with tastings of crumbs, scavenger hunts, play areas and a tourist train.
