The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, opened today in the hamlet from the pulpits of the new Centre for Child Care (ISC) 'Titina', which has 108 seats.
The project, including equipment, cost 1,456,500 euros, of which the regional government has contributed 639,446.
The CAI 'Titina' is located on Valencia Street and is built on an area of 1,021 m2.
It has eight classrooms for children birth to three years and will be open 11 months a year, in morning and afternoon.
It is recalled that Cotillas Towers also has a Point of Care for Children (EPI) in the College Susarte, with 50 seats so that this new center, the town has a total of 158 places for children under three years.
To this end the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration has invested 799,168 euros.
Private Visit to the Mentally Ill
After the inauguration, the Minister visited the Home for Mentally Ill, belonging to the Association of Families and People (AFES) and located in the municipality Torreño.
Bascuñana was accompanied by the Instituto Murciano responsible for Social Action (IMAS), María Isabel Sola, the director general of Family and Children, Laura Muñoz, and the mayor of the municipality, Domingo Coronado.
The director and his entourage toured the facilities of the Residence and received appropriate explanations on its operation by the chairman of AFES, Maria Teresa Martinez.
This residence, which opened last July, has 16 seats arranged with the IMAS are currently eligible for people with mental illness.

Nearly 42 million euros invested
In the Region are currently underway CAIS and PAIS 110, of which 86 are newly built and 24 renovated.
This assumes 8,218 subsidized spaces and a total investment of 41,962,281 euros to cover children from birth to three years.
