The Department of Equal Opportunities Cotillas Towers continues to develop the free activities of the program has launched in collaboration with the Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia.
So today has launched a course on "Equal Opportunities", aimed at the population of the municipality in general.
With the Youth House in the town as a backdrop, this proposal is being developed for three days, began Monday and concludes on Thursday 19 October 22, in early morning from 9:30 to 13 hours.
This course aims to provide the knowledge base to recognize the inequalities and discrimination that exists in society, and combat and raise awareness of the obstacles to equal participation of men and women in different spheres of life, highlighting the causes and consequences of existing inequalities and discrimination, and provide a vision and tools to advance equal opportunities.
On the other hand, the gym, "Stylo Gym" in the town (c / Canarias, 20) is hosting one of the most striking proposals activities, and that since last Tuesday, 6 October until Nov. 19 gives a workshop female personal defense of 28 hours.
With time on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10.30 to 12.30 hours, there are 15 female students who, without preparation, are learning how to react to an attack and gain advantage by applying simple techniques that do not require great physical strength.

For its part, the sexual health workshop to be held between 27 October and 26 November (Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 am to 12.30 pm) have 15 seats for women.
During the 30 hours divided into ten sessions will enhance the knowledge and information about female sexuality, thus depriving the students of erroneous beliefs, demystifying and removing taboos, accompanying them to the reality from a liberating and respectful look.
Being able to visualize the sexual difference and recognize the sexed body beyond stereotypes, roles and sex-gender system.
This will be one of the objectives of the free course "forms of inequality: recognition and proposal of change" aimed at women, will be held on 9, 11 and 12 November in the local Youth House in 17-20 hours '30 hours.
In addition, through this course the attendees, which will have a toy library service to leave their children, develop capabilities to more easily identify different forms of violence against women and to assess the importance of the relationship to navigate life with respect and without violence.
Among the contents of this proposal the students will find interesting topics such as education and sexual love, peace everyday practices, myths about violence against women and freedom in relationships.
On 16 and 17 November will be the turn of the "Symposium on Gender Violence from a socio-health", aimed at the general population of the municipality.
Will be at the Casa de la Cultura "Pedro Serna" in the municipality of 9.30 to 12.30 hours and they look as prevention awareness, seeking a critical eye.
In addition, family life is the focus of the conference which will take place on 21 and 22 November in Los Alcazares, an activity aimed at families Torrena that will serve to share the development of values of equality, respect and trust the family, enjoying sports activities, participation and personal development.
The Constitution Park will host the 28th November (9.30 to 13.30) for a workshop on education in values, respect and coexistence.
For children, parents of the municipality, they held games to develop attitudes and behaviors that lead to establishing a new model of social relations based on equality, respect and responsibility among the smallest.

Finally, the course "Time management: reconciling family life, work and family" will aim to get students more control and autonomy in personnel administration work.
Aimed at the population of the municipality in general, this course is particularly suitable for those who need to reconcile their work and personal life, improving the way we organize and manage their time.
With the 30 November and 2 and 3 December as implementation dates, times 17 to 20.30 hours and toy library service, this proposal will be held at the Youth House Torrena.
