On the morning of Monday February 1 Regional Government President, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, the Minister of Education, Employment and Training, Sotoca Constantine, and the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Domingo Coronado, have staged official placement stone of the new Institute of Secondary Education and Vocational Training Torreño municipality, whose work has already begun in the district of La Florida.
Situated in the Residencial Los Peaches, the center will rise on a plot of 8243.84 m2, of which 2,867 m2 are engaged in the building, and will house 12 units of Secondary and Vocational six units, covering 4622.10 m² total built.
This project will involve an investment of 4,355,000 euros and their duration is estimated at fifteen months.
With a gym annex
The teacher-designed building on two floors, is designed in a U shape, whose wings are joined by a cube-shaped space that is projected in a large hall to access the building, connecting the three floors and acting dealer.
You also have a gym attached to that building and the center will be accessible to disabled motor, who will also have toilets adapted to their mobility needs in each of the plants of each module.
The building is raised in order to economically optimize available resources so that priority is given to keeping the economy, both in its overall design and construction solutions, materials and facilities.
This ensured greater durability with lower maintenance costs, without detriment of good architectural quality.
Therefore, all units will have a correct direct natural light and ventilation and construction will continue high-efficiency environmental criteria, including:
Optimization of light energy, energy saving systems, for example, use of high performance lighting and energy saving lamps.
Natural air conditioning system: the provision of building, its prismatic form and through a wide exposure, can reduce heating needs.
Water saving system, with elements such as faucets timer or mechanisms regulating water use for flushing toilets.
