The director of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, Veronica Lopez, accompanied by the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Domingo Coronado, today introduced the Comprehensive Plan for Youth, a document outlining the actions to be carried out in municipality in the youth field and aims to meet the needs of more than 4,500 local youths.
Veronica Lopez said that this plan "must be a tool to support the programming and develop measures that affect youth and effectively covering real and needs of this group."
To develop the plan was diagnosed youth Cotillas Towers through surveys and workshops with young people and professionals who work with this group.
Also taken into account the views expressed in the website www.generaccionjoven.com and interviews with 140 young people on different fields related to the municipality.
With the data collected were various alternatives for action and define the objectives to be achieved on youth to the town in the coming years.
In addition, the plan will serve as a tool to identify the concerns of youth, encourage participation in the growth and development of the municipality, to promote personal autonomy and social integration of young people and influence the fields of education, employment, housing, leisure.
