More than 200 residents of the hamlet of La Loma, Las Torres de Cotillas, will benefit from the new Neighborhood Center, a new building that opened today the Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, accompanied by the Mayor town, Domingo Coronado.
The building has been built on a plot of 298 square feet in another building that had earlier been condemned and was demolished, and an investment of 325,000 euros, of which 250,000 have been contributed by the Autonomous Community.
The current building has 183 sq meters, has two multipurpose rooms where several activities, offices, toilets, canteen and access area.
The environment also has a green area of another 218 square meters for the enjoyment of users of the new center.
The Minister of Presidency and Public Administration said during the inauguration of the building that these local "neighborhood associations encourage and promote resident participation in municipal activities."
Reverte said the regional government's goal is "to improve the quality of life for all citizens, and this infrastructure also help improve the services they receive."
